Last night (8*5*11) Ryder Had open house at his School! One of the things that they gave us was a Yellow folder with our child's name on it! Inside that folder in the Left flab was 3 papers...one was a schedule of when the school will be open and when there wont be any school. Then there was letter from the teacher introducing her self and a list of what they need for the class! And there was also a Calendar of what they will be doing each day in the Class! Then in the Right Flab there was a Red paper cut out that looks like a person that we get to be crafty with and decorate! Attached to the person is a paragraph of instructions of what the teacher is asking!
This morning Saydi, Ryder and I went to Walmart, Michael's and Target to gather some crafty materials so we can decorate his Person! Since Saydi is not in school this year I decided that it would be fun for her to make one as well!! I just traced his person on to some construction paper and cut it out! I even made one for my self!
I set up some cheerios, some yarn, red puffs, apple jacks, macaroni and a few other things!
Ryder Helped pick out where everything goes but I did the Gluing since I knew how messy it would be!! BOY OH BOY did I forget how Messy Elmers Glue was! I was picking glue off my finger tips for a good ten min!! LOL!! Luckily this project of his doesnt need to be turned in until Aug 30th (his first day of School) because he lost his attention once we finished the facial features! But i went ahead and did his hair as well, that way he didnt have to mess with it!!
He then went off to play!! Then Saydi and I decided that we were going to decorate our people!!
first I did my persons head.
I think I may have over done it with the Crazy Long hair, but HEY my hair is about that length!! LOL! Then once I was finished with My Person I helped Saydi with hers!
She kind of looks like Frosty the Snowman with out the Carrot Nose! =o)
Saydi hard at work gluing her hair on her persons Head!!
Then Finally Our Heads are complete!! This was probably one of the funniest things the kids and I have done together in a LONG TIME!
We still need some ideas for the shirt, pants and shoes.
